Timber behaves best when it is stable and matched to the room. We check every board and let it acclimatise before fitting.
Wipe spills promptly, refresh high-use areas with maintenance oil once a year, and avoid silicone cleaners — we leave a care kit at handover.
Decades, not years. Solid fronts can be re-oiled or re-sprayed, and hinges and runners are replaceable without new carcasses.
